Sailing with the Tall Ships Youth Trust 'the best activity ever' - thanks to Gloucester City Council, Positive Futures, Gloucester City Homes, the Barton & Tredworth Neighbourhood Partnership and Chris Hickey for such a fantastic, fun and educational experience, which 25 of us from Gloucester took part in between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight.

Boys activities / Easter & Summer 2010 (these are the main 2-3 day activities – there are other evening/day trips in between these)
1. Biblins Campsite 10/11 April - boys 11+
2. Biblins Campsite May 29/30 (younger boys/dads)
- Canoeing/biking/foraging/walking/sleeping in tents/outdoor cooking
3. Wilderness Centre 18-20 June (younger boys minimum age 8, with male guardian) Activities to be confirmed.
4. Llangorse Activity Centre, South Wales, 23-25 July (20 spaces, older boys 12+) - climbing/Dingle scramble/challenge course/biking
5. South Cerney, Cirencester, Sailing 7/8 August (not staying overnight) 12 spaces leading to RYA Level 1 qualification, probably older boys 12+
Limited number of spaces. Costs to be confirmed and is subject to funding availability. Only attend these activities if you are prepared to accept challenges and get muddy!

The Friendship Cafe Dads & Lads Session
The Friendship Cafe Dads & Lads is the most popular session, held every Friday between 7 -10pm. There are regular activities such as competitions, consultations and Eid meals, etc.

it is the session used as a platform for numerous other off site activities and attended by dads, carers, uncles and grandads winding down after a week of hard work (that's what they say they say anyway).

The Friendship Cafe Girls' Group

The Friendship Cafe Girls' Group is split between 2 groups. The Juniors are from 8 - 12 years and the Seniors are from 13 plus.
The younger girls usually meet on Saturdays between 2 - 4 and is managed by Mrs Fatimah Dhalech. The Senior girls group is now managed by Saleha Parekh.

The Friendship Cafe hall and a smaller room can be hired for events and meetings or regular activities. Please ring to check availability and prices. We also hire out a portable stage and chairs for events.
Hall hire for voluntary groups: £10 per hour (£20 statutory/business/private bookings)
Service charges will apply for weekends or evenings.
