Friendship Cafe, City Farm and GymNation provides mainly youth & community based activities, focusing mainly but not exclusively on young people, children and families in the Barton & Tredworth areas of Gloucester City, although our users come from many different backgrounds and from all over the City and County, which means that we are used by hundreds of different people each week.
The Friendship Cafe is now on Twitter! Follow us and keep up to date with everything that is happening. Events, courses, outings and much much more. Just need to train Imran up on how to use it.

The Annual family funday down at St James Park in Gloucester. Lots of people, lots of food, Lots of FUN!!
Aadil the Action Man...
A packed crowd saw a variety of Bugs kindly brought in by Pete from Bristol. Check out the photos to see how the kids ENJOYED it!
The Burst Pipes
These were the 3 burst pipes that caused an inch of water all over the hall. Thanks go to our Fast Action Response Team who speedily arrived to help clear up the mess. Also many thanks to Gloucester Wash and Dry Laundrette for the loan of their "Wet" Vaccum Cleaner.
The Snowball Fight -
The infamous snowball fight after the indoor climbing.
- Indoor Climbing @ The Warehouse
We walked 20 kids through the fresh snow to The Warehouse Climbing Centre in Parliament Street. A real test for heights and one which all the boys passed with flying colours. Some showed superb mountain goat like tendencies. The evening was finished off with a massive snowball fight in St Michaels Square car park!
Wednesdays 7.30pm to 8:40pm Self Defence Classes

young children to learn the very basic princip;es of self defence. An attendance of about 25 boys regularly shows the popularity of this class.Only £1 a session, for boys aged mainly 6 -11 years old
The Play
The Joker & Google Genie. Two of the characters from the play held at The Friendship Cafe. Organised by Wingz and Barton & Tredworth Madressah. The children presented an extremely enjoyable production of the Muslim pilgramage to Mecca called Hajj.
- Robinswood Hill
On a cold night about 40 of us climbed to the top of Robinswood Hill to see the many fireworks being set off/displayed around Gloucester. It was a cold but spectacular night.
- Forest Of Dean
One of our most popular activities, was again well attended. On a cold but sunny morning 3 cars and a minibus drove to Peddle A Bike Away in the Forest. After getting kitted out we split up into two groups the Elite and the Family Group. Read more in November's issue of Cafe News.
